What Would We Do Without Friends?

I have so much to be thankful for in my life, but I am always amazed at how lucky I am to have such great friends.  They are like family to me.  My girls are always there when I need them – whether it is to share a laugh, get through a tough time or just share an ordinary day.  We believe in each other.  Everything is better with friends.

Melissa and I took over a table at Manhattan Bagel again today.  I’m not sure they are entirely thrilled that I buy coffee and bring my own lunch!  (You know I am having a bar for lunch…)  Especially since we stay forever.  In all fairness, we are not the only ones who stay there forever.  But we always have so much to catch up on.  Or at least so much to say!  I miss catching up with this girl over long runs (or trying to catch her on short runs), but coffee is a good substitute for now.

Today I ran with my fastest friend.  Tara is seriously speedy but she ran much slower today so we could run together.  We were going out for 6, decided to do 8 when we got there and changed it to 10 at mile 4.  We had a great chat and Tara pushed me out of my comfort zone a bit.  I can’t wait to do it again!  I’m so glad we will be able to catch up with each other on runs now.

Hope you had a great Friday too!

So, I am wondering, have you pushed yourself out of your comfort zone recently (not just training)?  Were you happy you did it?
