Happy April Fool’s Day! Do you have your prank arsenal ready? As expected, we are starting the day off with pound cake grilled cheese sandwiches and pudding milk. I think the boys are going to love this!
The “bread” is a little small, but I think it came out pretty good. I found creamsicle icing, so it should taste yummy! I think I will send the boys to school with empty mechanical pencils too.
Well, I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later, but I have had my first bad experience with eBay. That is not such a bad track record since I have been using them since 2004. I am sad to say that it involved the highly anticipated yellow Brooks Pure Cadence sneakers I have been waiting for! They never arrived. It turns out that the seller accidentally mailed them to another buyer in Oregon. I did get a full refund, but I really wanted those shoes! I am taking this as a sign that I need to move on from a sneaker style that is no longer made.
This shoe issue is starting to feel like a bad joke though. In an effort to finally put it to bed, I drove an hour to the running store today. Road Runner Sports has pretty much any running shoe you could want and I really needed to try them on. Plus, they have a foot analysis program (ShoeDog) that is “guaranteed to find your perfect fit.” http://ww2.roadrunnersports.com/retail/meetshoedog.html I already know I am a neutral runner, so I wasn’t expecting much from the analysis. Guess what? After going through the process they recommended orthotics. Maybe this will be the answer to my heel problem?
We’ll see. They feel great and with them I was able to wear the current version (3) of my favorite Brooks Pure Cadence! Yay! I can even wear the Pure Flow 3. Can you say options?
Fezziwig approves. I am hoping these are the last pair of running shoes I have to buy for a while (fingers crossed – no more returns!).
So, I am wondering, do you have anything planned for April Fool’s Day?
