Fall Fashion & Food

Our dog has been having a problem lately.  He is a sweet 4 pound Chihuahua who never complains about anything.  He barks less than once a day – seriously.  He is a pretty happy dog.  But he does not like the cold.  As a result, he has a nice wardrobe of dog clothes, including a winter coat.  Recently, every time he goes outside his coat falls off.

I have suspected that he may have put on some weight, so I weighed him today.  Sure enough, little Fezziwig is 6 pounds!  It may be time to lay off the treats!  It was definitely time for a new winter coat.  After trying on about 10 coats at Pet Smart, this is what he ended up with.

He is so cute!  Of course, we found a few other items for him.  The poor dog!  He is such a good sport!  Of course, we picked up some lower calories treats for him too.

We tried a new recipe tonight that the boys loved.  Garlicky, crunchy smashed potatoes.  A friend posted it on Facebook and it looked too good not to try.  We recommend them.  http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2008/06/crash-hot-potatoes/

My chihuahua hates the cold as well….but I think she hates wearing coats even more. I feel so bad for her. We dress our dog up as well hehehe as you already know lol.
We usually put our decorations up the weekend after Thanksgiving….tree goes up later if we get a real one. Some weekend if we use our pre lit lol

Ours usually go up sometime around Thanksgiving too Margie. I figure we have 2 weeks of no decorations between Halloween and Christmas. But Fezzziwig can wear his elf shirt early to get us in the holiday spirit! I love our little friends!
